ABOUT
Grateful Remnants is a creative textile studio based in Roebourne, Western Australia, offering immersive workshops, creative retreats, digital fabric printing, and bespoke textile products inspired by the Pilbara.
Founded by textile artist Suzanne Philpot, Grateful Remnants grew from a lifelong passion for making and a belief in the wellbeing benefits of creativity. With over 20 years of experience in textile arts—including quilting, textile collage, thread painting, rag weaving, and slow stitching—Suzanne established the studio in 2018 to share creativity, tranquillity, and connection with others.
The Pilbara’s ancient landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and extraordinary colour palette are central to Grateful Remnants’ creative identity. This connection is reflected in Pilbara-inspired patterns, kits, and one-of-a-kind handmade textile works.
In 2021, the studio expanded to include a purpose-built Digital Printing Workshop, now home to the only roll-to-roll digital textile printer between Perth and Darwin—supporting local designers, artists, and makers.
Directed by Noel and Suzanne Philpot, Grateful Remnants is deeply connected to the Roebourne community through more than 20 years of local involvement, creative capacity building, and cultural engagement.
Grateful Remnants invites locals and visitors alike to slow down, reconnect, and experience Creative Textile Tranquillity in the heart of the Pilbara.
