About Grateful Remnants
Grateful Remnants is a creative textile studio based in Roebourne, Western Australia. We offer immersive workshops, creative retreats, digital fabric printing, and bespoke textile pieces inspired by the Pilbara.
Our Story
Founded by textile artist Suzanne Philpot, Grateful Remnants grew from a lifelong love of making and a deep belief in the wellbeing benefits of creativity. With over 40 years of experience in textile arts including quilting, textile collage, thread painting, rag weaving, and slow stitching, Suzanne created the studio in 2018 as a space to share creativity, tranquillity, and connection with others.
Inspired By The Pilbara
The Pilbara’s ancient landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and extraordinary colour palette are at the heart of everything we do. This connection to place is reflected in our Pilbara inspired fabric designs, creative kits & resources and one of a kind handmade textile works.
Innovation & Making
In 2021, Grateful Remnants expanded to include a purpose-built Digital Printing Workshop. Today, we are home to the only roll to roll digital textile printer for both textile pigment and dye sublimation between Perth and Darwin, supporting local designers, artists, and makers to bring their ideas to life.
Our Purpose
At Grateful Remnants, we believe creativity is a powerful tool for calm, connection and community. Our purpose is to help people rediscover the joy of making, while honouring culture, place, and personal stories through textile arts. Every product and program is created with intention, integrity, and connection at its core.
Community Connection
Owned and operated by Noel and Suzanne Philpot, Grateful Remnants is deeply connected to the Roebourne community. With over 20 years of local involvement, we are proud to contribute to creative capacity building, community engagement and cultural connection.
An Invitation
We invite locals and visitors alike to slow down, reconnect, and experience Creative Textile Tranquillity in the heart of the Pilbara.
Love & Blessings from our home to yours, Noel & Sue xx
