REGISTRATIONS

 

How do I register for the Pont Samson Makers Markets?

All registrations are online via the Grateful Remnants website: http://www.gratfulremnants.com/makersmarket You can register as a Stallholder, Food, Drink, Coffee Vendor or Community Group. NOTE: All fees are payable up front via credit card at time of registration.

 

What kind of products can I sell?

Point Samson Makers Markets showcases local or travelling creatives and their handmade, small batch or bespoke products and services. E.G: pottery, art, textiles, jewellery, glass, watch/clock repairs, woodwork, candles, soap making, hand made body products, bush medicine, Aboriginal artefacts, leather work, gemstones, plants, homemade cookies and slices, photography etc.. We aim to showcase high quality rather than mass produced products realising that certain machinery is sometimes needed to create items. Again, the emphasis is on artisan style products. Can my child have a stall at the Makers Market?

Yes, a child under 16 can have a stall at the Makers Market but is still required to have Public Liability Insurance and pay a stallholder fee. A parent or guardian over 18 must be in attendance at all times during the Makers Market. Young stallholders are placed amongst other stallholders in accordance with the creations they are selling.

 

Do I need to have Public Liability Insurance?

Yes, all stallholders, food vendors and community groups must have a minimum of $10 million Public Liability Insurance (PLI). NOTE: a copy of your current PLI must be uploaded at time of registration. Registrations will not be accepted without appropriate cover.

 

What if my PLI runs out and is not valid for all the events I have registered for?

If your public liability expires before a set market date you will be unable to attend any Markets after the expiry date. It is your responsibility to contact Grateful Remnants to provide your new PLI documents prior to expiry – please email info@gratefulremnants.com

 

What extra requirements are there for Food/Drink/Coffee Vendors?

All food-based businesses must be an approved vendor with the City of Karratha and must obtain a Food Traders Permit from them in order to trade. Contact the City of Karratha directly on (08) 9186 8555 to enquire. NOTE: You must upload your current Food Traders Permit at time of registration.

 

When do registrations close?

Registrations CLOSE at 5pm on the Sunday prior to the Point Samson Makers Market. Late registrations WILL NOT be accepted.

 

How much will my stall cost?

Stallholders – $35.00

Food/Drink/Coffee Vendor – $35.00

Community Groups – FREE

 

Can I register for the full year?

Yes, you can register online for any or all of the Makers Market events held over one calendar year. Fees are payable up front so please ensure you are available for all the dates before booking.

 

Are registration fees refunded if I need to cancel my stall?

No, once registration is confirmed, we do not offer refunds in general. If you cannot make your registered Point Samson Makers Market event you must contact Grateful Remnants immediately to inform us – via email info@gratefukremnants.com or call 0427 332 832. Stall registrations can be transferred to another event in the same calendar year, providing you have notified us seven (7) days prior to the event originally registered for. Unforeseen circumstances, such as illness or death, will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

 

 

MAKERS MARKET DAY

 

What time are the Markets?

· April & May Makers Markets open 10am till 2pm.

· June. July, August, September Makers Markets open 9am till 2pm

· October & November Makers Markets open 9am till 1pm

 

When is set up and pack down?

Bump In: from 7am. Bump Out: by 4pm.

Driveway beside the hall can be used to offload and for pack up but must be kept clear for Fire Truck emergency access. All stallholders are asked to park closer to the carpark entrance to allow for customers to park a little closer to the Makers Market.

Each stallholder is expected to make sure their space is free of rubbish at the end of the Makers Market and ensure that their chairs and any hired trestles are packed away before leaving.

 

Do I have access to Wi-Fi?

Wi-Fi password will be provided on the day but remember that most EFTPOS facilities like Square will allow you to process “manual” or “offline” payments. Stallholders have the right to accept CASH only if they choose to do so.

 

What do I need to bring for my stall?

Tables, display stands, gazebo and weights (if needed), signage and products for sale You are welcome to bring water, snacks or lunch to keep yourself going. There is a fridge in the hall for stallholders to use only.

· 2 chairs per stall are provided as part of your stallholder fee

· Trestle Tables can be hired for $5.00 per table (up to 4 per stall) and paid for on the registration form. Hired tables will be placed in your allocated stall space ready for set up on your arrival.

 

When will I find out my stall location?

Stallholders will receive an email with stall placement and bump-in/bump-out information on the FRIDAY prior to the Market.

 

Can I choose my stall location?

Stall allocation will be determined by Organisers on a first come first served basis and applications are at the Organisers’ discretion, Heat or weather sensitive products will be given appropriate placement inside the hall whenever possible. Please include your request for placement when registering online. Stallholder requests will be taken into consideration, however we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate them.

 

Will Grateful Remnants promote my stall?

Yes, Grateful Remnants will promote your stall via our social media channels in the first instance and shared to as many Facebook Groups as possible. You can upload your logo or a photo of your products (JPG) at time of registration, BUT we strongly encourage you to share your own posts far and wide as well. We are working with the City of Karratha to be included on their events page and are building an email network for schools, community groups etc., so that the Makers Markets can be promoted. Posters in JPG and PDF format will be emailed to stallholders and food vendors. Remember this is a volunteer-run event, so all help is appreciated.
