Step into the beautifully imperfect world of boro—a traditional Japanese textile practice born from mending, layering and making-do with scraps. Today, boro has evolved into a much-loved slow-stitching style used in quilts, bags, clothing and art textiles. In this workshop, we’ll use boro-inspired stitchery, textile collage and appliqué to create a piece that tells your story—using fabrics you already love: saved project offcuts, treasured family stashes, or those “too-good-to-throw-away” hoarded gems.

This is slow stitching with complete creative freedom. There are no technical rules, and no “perfect” outcome to aim for. Fabric placement is entirely up to you. You can work intuitively, build layers, respond to colour and texture, and stitch at your own pace. Every piece becomes individual and meaningful—unique, just like you.

Suitable for: beginners, mixed experience levels, corporate groups, wellbeing programs, birthdays, and friends' get-togethers.
